These posters were created in advance of the 2020 presidential election. The concept plays on the idea of the “I Voted Today” stickers, and the cumulative power of individual votes.
Up close, the posters are an overlapping and chaotic mess of individual 1″ stickers, scattered and strewn about. From farther out, the stickers coalesce into letterforms that fill each of the 20″x34″ posters.
The concept relies on having a multitude of diverse stickers. There are dozens of unique design variations for the stickers, created in collaboration with fellow designers Charissa Bass, Samantha Danaher, Phil Moore, and Kevin Peloquin. Once the individual stickers were designed, Adobe Illustrator’s Symbol Sprayer tool was used to apply them in layers of random chaos.
